About us

We are the Apostolic Praise Centre, a vibrant and welcoming Pentecostal Church in the heart of Fenton, Stoke on Trent. Our Church was founded in .... by Pastor Graeme and Sue Foster, who have a deep passion for sharing the love of Jesus Christ with others.

Our community is built upon the belief that every person is valuable and has a unique purpose in God's plan. We are committed to training and equipping our members in the areas of evangelism, praise and worship, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Our services are dynamic and filled with the presence of God, as we seek to experience His power and transformation in our lives.

The Apostolic Praise Centre was founded in 2007 by Pastor Graeme and Sue Foster, who felt called by God to plant a Pentecostal style Church in Fenton, Stoke on Trent.

The Church started with a small group of believers meeting in the Apostolic Praise Centre Hall, but it quickly grew in numbers and influence in the area. Through the years, the Church has been a place of transformation and empowerment for many individuals and families, as they have learned about the love of Christ and experienced the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Apostolic Praise Centre has also been actively involved in community outreach and missions work, both locally and internationally.

Our work

At the Apostolic Praise Centre, we are dedicated to spreading the love and teachings of Jesus Christ through our Pentecostal style of worship. Our church, founded in .... by Pastor Graeme and Sue Foster, has been a beacon of hope and faith in the Fenton community. We believe in the power of evangelism and have trained many individuals to boldly share the message of Christ with others.

  • Sunday Worship Service - This is the main service where members gather to worship, pray and hear a message from the pastor. The service also includes a time of praise and worship, as well as opportunities for members to share testimonies and pray for one another.
  • Midweek Prayer meeting. - This is a small group study that takes place during the week, where members can dig deeper into the Word of God and pray how to apply it to their daily lives. It is also a time of Intercession for situations around the world.

As a member of the Apostolic Praise Centre, I have seen firsthand the transformation and impact this church has had on individuals and the community. I strongly believe that there are several reasons why customers should select us as their place of worship and spiritual growth. First and foremost, the Apostolic Praise Centre is a strong and vibrant Pentecostal church that is deeply rooted in the Word of God.

  • Emphasis on Pentecostal style: The Apostolic Praise Centre has a strong emphasis on the Pentecostal style of worship, which includes lively music, expressive worship, and a belief in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
  • Focus on evangelism: The Church places a high value on evangelism and reaching out to the community. This is evident in their various outreach programs and events aimed at sharing the gospel with others.
  • Strong leadership: The Church is discipleship based and looks for signs of growth in each member.
  • We have a strong Prayer team that prays every morning for situations around the world.
  • We have regular mission trips to Ghana and Zimbabwe and minister through Zoom into Africa, on a regular basis.
  • We have a strong Internet presence through You Tube videos and Facebook live meetings.

Our Beliefs.

Statement of Faith: As a Pentecostal Church we share the Tenets of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church.

These are the following 11 tenets...

Our first tenet helps us to understand who God is and what He is like:

'The unity of the Godhead and the Trinity of the Persons therein.'
(Deuteronomy 6:4, Genesis 1:26, Matthew 28:19, Ephesians 4:6 & Matthew 6:9, John 20:28 & John 1:1-4, Acts 5:3-4 & 2 Corinthians 3:17.)

Our second tenet explains the need for, and the way of Salvation:
'The utter depravity of human nature, the necessity of repentance and regeneration, and the eternal doom of the finally impenitent.'
(Psalm 51:5, Romans 3:10, 23, 7:24, Matthew 25:41, 46, Acts 2:38, 17:30, 2 Corinthians 5:17.)

Our third tenet states that the Person and Works of Jesus are central to our faith, now and for eternity:
'The virgin birth, the sinless life, the atoning death, the triumphant resurrection, ascension, and abiding intercession of our Lord Jesus Christ; his second coming and millennial reign upon earth.'
(Matthew 1:23-25, Hebrews 4:15, 1 Peter 2:24, Hebrews 7:26-27, Matthew 28:5-6, Hebrews 7:25, Romans 8:34, Matthew 24:30, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, Revelation 20:1-15.)

Our fourth tenet states that through Christ alone we are made right with God, and enabled to live our lives to please Him, and to grow more like Him:
'The justification and sanctification of the believer through the finished work of Christ.'
(Romans 3:24, 28, Romans 5:1-9, 1 Corinthians 6:11, Romans 6:6, 11-14. )

Our fifth tenet outlines the promise for all believers that helps us live fruitful and effective Christian lives:
'The baptism of the Holy Ghost for believers, with signs following.'
(Luke 3:16, Luke 11:9-13, Acts 1:4-5, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 8:14-17, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 10:46, Acts 19:6, Ephesians 5:18.)

Our sixth tenet outlines how Christians may be built up together and strengthened in their faith:
'The nine gifts of the Holy Ghost, for the edification, exhortation and comfort of the Church, which is the Body of Christ.'
(1 Corinthians 12:4-11, Romans 12:3-8, 1 Corinthians 14:3, 26.)

Our seventh tenet outlines the two sacraments that Christ taught us to do:

'The sacraments of baptism by immersion, and of the Lord's Supper.'
(Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:12, Acts 8:36-38, Acts 19:5, Romans 6:3-7, Luke 22:19-20, Acts 2:42, 1 Corinthians 11:23-32.)

Our eighth tenet outlines how highly we view the Bible:

'The divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures.'
(2 Timothy 3:16)

Our ninth tenet has traditionally made us unique as a fellowship:

'Church government by Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Elders and Deacons.'
(Ephesians 4:8-16, Ephesians 1:1, 2 Corinthians 11:28, 12:12, Acts 14:21-23, Acts 13:1-3, Acts 21:10-11, Acts 8, Acts 21:8, Acts 20:17-38, 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:1-4, Acts 6:2-3, Acts 6:6, 1 Timothy 3:8-13.)

Our tenth tenet states that salvation is certain for those who continue in their relationship with Christ:

'The possibility of falling from grace.'
(Hebrews 6:4-6, Colossians 1:21-23, 2 Peter 2:20-22, Revelation 22:19, Romans 11:20-22.)

Our eleventh tenet outlines the Biblical model for supporting God's work financially:

'The Saints responsibility to bring tithes and offerings.'
(Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:10, Genesis 28:22, 1 Corinthians 16:2.)

Our Vision.

Church Vision.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we come into your presence thanking you for the Apostolic Praise Centres.

You have called us to be saints in Stoke on Trent and around the world. As we lift our voices in one accord, we recognise that You are God, and everything was made by and for You. We call into being those things that are not as though they were.

We thank you that we all speak the same thing, there is no division among us, and we are perfectly joined together in the same mind. Grant unto us, your representatives here, a boldness to speak Your Word, which You will confirm with, signs following.

We thank you that we have workmen in abundance and all manner of cunning people for every manner of work. Each department operates in the excellence of ministry and intercessions. We have in our church the ministry gifts for the edifying of the body till we all come into the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a mature person.

None of our people will be children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind and doctrine. We speak the truth in love.

We are a growing and witnessing body of believers, the least of us becoming over a thousand strong, with over a hundred cell groups throughout the city.

We have every need met. Therefore, we meet the needs of people who come – Spirit, Soul and Body. We ask for Wisdom in meeting these needs.

Father, we thank you for the ministry facilities that will more than meet the needs of the ministry, you have called us to. Our church is prospering financially, and we have more than enough to meet every situation. We have everything we need to carry out your great commission and reach the Stoke on Trent area for Jesus.

We are a people of love as the Holy Spirit sheds love abroad in our hearts. We thank you that the Word of God is living big in all of us and Jesus is Lord!

We are a supernatural church, composed of supernatural people doing supernatural things, for we are labourers together with God. We thank you for your presence among us and we lift our hands and praise your Holy Name.
