Introduction

The Bible says that the Spirit of God gifts every believer. This means that we all have diverse ways to serve others, and we can use these gifts for the common good of our community. The spiritual gift training course, developed by Pastor Graeme Foster, will help you discover your spiritual gifting and learn how to use it most effectively in ministry.

Each individual Christian has been given many different spiritual gifts and uses these gifts in their lives for the glory of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 12:1-11). Spiritual gifts are activated by anointing but need to be developed through reason of use. (Ephesians 1:13).

The Spirit gives each believer one or more of the gifts in 1 Corinthians 12 to equip us for ministry.

They are not just for the benefit of those who have them; rather, they are for the common good of all Christians (1 Cor. 12:7-11).

These spiritual gifts must be used with discretion so that they do not become prideful or selfish. If you have been gifted in prayer but do not use your ability fervently enough, then what good does this gift do? It could be better used if we were willing to humble ourselves before God through prayer so that He might give us a stronger relationship with Him than ever before!

The gifts are given "for the common good" (1 Cor. 12:7) and build up the Body of Christ. They are not meant to be used for personal gain, but rather "to build one another up" (Rom. 15:13).
